Sam's gaze shifted, boring into Dean and he could feel his resolve start to melt, along with his need for answers. It was like a five-year-old Sam silently pleading for the last of the Lucky Charms all over again.

And damn it, it really bothered him that this shit still worked.

I haven't finished reading, but I have to comment on this bit because it's so Dean and so true to life. Just a really neat little character beat there. Awesome.

Wow, what a thoughtful and detailed comment, thank you so much for stopping by and reading, it really is lovely to hear from you.

I'm pleased that the boys voices rang true, its something that I try to work hard on because for me its such an important factor when I'm reading a fic.

And thank you for mentioning Jess, I'm fascinated by her relationship with Sam and how well she actually did know him because he must have had to have kept a lot of himself from her in order to protect the family secret.

I love your OCs! You always make them so three-dimensional and engaging!

It's nice to have an old-fashioned case!fic again, with simple ghosts and death echoes - what's complicated (as always) is the relationship between the brothers. You captured that perfectly here. I've always wondered if Sam hunted at all at Stanford - I don't think there's anything in canon that definitely decides it for us either way. So whatever a talented writer imagines... I'm willing to believe it. Like this one!

Sweet to see Jess in fic again too.:D

OC's scare me so it's not often that I use them, but I'm thrilled that they work for you.

I think the idea of Sam hunting at Stanford is fascinating and I wanted to explore the idea of a hunt that Sam felt he had to do. Linking it to family seemed like the best way.
