I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the drabble! The h/c lover in me absolutely adored this episode (hurt!Sam!), but I was left craving a hospital scene at the end, so it was the perfect excuse for a drabble.

This is perfect - the scene really should have been with Sam in a hospital bed, but that was the only bit of the episode that I could possibly fault! So I love your alternate scene, and how you've used the dialogue and added more to it, this is so true...

"And yeah, maybe Sam was only mostly dead, but that's not how Dean's going to remember it."

Yes, this episode was pretty much perfect to my eyes, and I was truly gripped by every second of it, but I would have loved a hospital scene, and I'm really happy to hear that it worked for you and that you enjoyed it.

I decided to use only dialogue from the episode, switching them into the hospital setting, and adding some Dean POV because damn, this was a tough episode for him. I'm so pleased that you highlighted that line from the drabble, it's one of my favourites too.

Everyone involved in this episode brought their A game; the director, the writers, makeup, lighting, the actors (I loved Michelle! and J2 were both awesome) - just all around top notch TV!!! And yes season 11 has been so strong so far, and I just really hope we're in for an equally awesome finale!!!
