Awww!!! You guys are awesome!!! Do you know her backstory in much detail, or just that poor baby was hurt?

She has a microchip, so her previous owner either couldn't or wouldn't pick her up. When we first got her, she would duck whenever I would try to pet her, so I imagine someone wasn't very nice to her along the way.. not sure whether that corresponds to the wounds on her back. The wounds were old by the time she made it to the shelter, so the vet was guessing and following a cold trail when trying to say what happened. The vet figured that it was either an animal attack or acid.
