Has anyone seen Winter's Bone? I highly recommend it. Jennifer Lawrence is so good in it. I thought it might be a fluke, but then I saw her in The Poker House, and turns out it's not, although the characters are sort of similar.

Actually, you should recognize John Hawkes not just from Deadwood, but from the X-Files episode "Milagro" -- the one with the creepy writer who moves in next door to Mulder and has an obsession with Scully. Remember that one?

No! But I tend to remember the mythology eps better than the monster eps. Gotta go watch that one again!

He was also in an ep of Profit - - does anyone even remember that show? He played a crazy genius guy who was obsessed with Gail, Profit's secretary.

I don't remember him in Profit, but I LOVED that show. It was one of the most unique series ever, and it died before it could even air all of its episodes. I have it on DVD, though. They released the whole thing a few years ago.

I know! I had to have the DVDs. I can't believe it was cancelled. Well, I can, but it shouldn't have been.
