First of all, yeah, I'm hooked on SGA. More specifically, Rodney. Yeah, go ahead and say I told you so. Also, I really like Caldwell(big surprise, huh?) and Dex. Beckett... oh, yeah. Love the accent. Um, please don't flame me, but Sheppard... not so much yet, and Teyla not at all. Weir, eh. Maybe they'll grow on me ( Read more... )

Oh, that SGA. It's easy to get caught up in. I'm not so much into the Rodney...yeah, he's okay. And I won't flame you, but I have to tell you, I *love* John Sheppard, and OMG, the Ronon Dex love swept over me the first time I saw Runner. Yowza. I love that guy, and I'll read him in any pairing ( ... )

Dex... yeah. While I love Rodney, with Dex, it's pure unadulterated lust.

And I love Caldwell, of course. *g*

Well, of course!

Never saw the Sharpe series, but I'd love to. I fell for him after LotR.

Oh, well...we can't have everything in common, right? *g*

Certainly not, then we'd all be alike and that would be boring.

Yay for SGA love! And yay for Rodney love! I didn't really find Sheppard all that interesting either - he was too bland a character for me, but after reading all this fanfic, where some really great writers have probed into the mystery of John, I can now see there's more to him and like him better. But still nowhere near as much as McKay!

I saw Dukes of Hazzard, and I'll admit I actually liked it, but that's because I have a stupid sense of humour - the movie is completely stupid and over the top of course, but I did find a lot of it funny. I also wanted to beat Jessica Simpson with a blunt object, but that's nothing new. Plus, Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville are hot, *g*. Willie Nelson was pretty funny, because he just seemed so bemused by the entire thing - it's a pity he wasn't in it more. And Burt Reynolds was great as the over-the-top villian.

Good point about fanfic! I was really starting to be annoyed at Harry Potter until I read fanfic, and it made me feel better towards him.

LOL! Me too! That's one of the main reasons I didn't want to watch.

Willie Nelson was pretty funny, because he just seemed so bemused by the entire thing - it's a pity he wasn't in it more. And Burt Reynolds was great as the over-the-top villian.

I really wanted to know that. My best friend Jan and I have been arguing about it, and I wanted to be right! *g*

I saw The Constant Gardener and enjoyed it (excellent cast). HOWEVER, if you've read the novel, you're likely to be unhappy with the way the film simplifies it (I was). You just can't do justice to a Le Carré novel in a couple of hours. His works need miniseries treatment. If you haven't read the book, though, you won't think there's a problem.

Okay, good, I haven't read it yet, and won't now, until I see the movie.
