I've decided she's not going to keel over overnight (um, to be clear she's never had a moment of visible illness), so today the surviving kitten went up for adoption. Yeah, it's still not a coloring I find inherently appealing the way you do, but ALL of the black and whites I've had have had amazingly lovely personalities. (And the gingers have been crazy in one way or another and the brown tabbies annoying.)

This time of year there's a bit of a lull in young kittens and what we're getting in is mostly juveniles, most of whom are pretty skittish, so there are a lot of potential families we don't have a brave enough cat for. But I'm willing to bet Tekla would go well with young kids and dogs and what have you, because she's just amazingly self-confident and even a bit self-sufficient, even though she looooooves people.

I really do wish I could hand out fosters to my flist, since it would mean I'd get to hear about their lives in the future.

She is so lovely. I'm sure she will easily find a forever home. Give her (and all the others, of course) some furfles from me.

I wouldn't mind keeping her for a bit since she's so nice, but you're right, she's bound to find a home quickly.
