OK, in the onslaught of AWFUL this afternoon I completely forgot to say that I did hear from the vet today, and that although the sample was small enough that they can't completely rule out MCT, it's most likely not, and basically I just need to wait and see if it returns

Emi has this humongous belly! But because he's so tall and long, the pounds don't really show on him.

Yeah, I'm chosing to call it good news. The foot is almost healed now, too, so I think I can stop using the collar in a few days.
