Tonight, we took our beloved Bruce to Ah So for dinner.

Bruce departs for Iraq on May 11th, 2007. Just days before his 21st  Bday.

All throughout dinner I couldnt help but think "what If I never see Brucey again, what if he doesnt come back home safe?" These are questions I have never had to wonder about before now. I have never had a close friend

I*m sure Bruce will be fine. Positive thoughts. My husband has gone & returned a few times... Bruce will be back before you know it.

Yep, those were from last night. I went straight from work to dinner hahaha.

Bruce is a really good friend of Whitney's, but he has become a really close family friend too. Kind of like a brother. He's a good guy... and since his name is Bruce.. like the shark in finding nemo... we always tell him.. fish are friends, not food.

I hope he'll be fine too. Just kind of scary.. although..he says hes not scared at all.

Awe Coley, I can sympathize with your concerns because I currently have 4 cousins and 2 friends over there. :(
Even though I dont agree with the war, our military is badass and he will do just fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you (and your friend) for a safe return. :)
