Mike, One of the challenges we have is lack of a studio in which to rehearse fights. The building in which Arms and Armor is houses (as well as Transylvania TV), has some vacancies. A lower level space, would provice enough space to practice one or two fights at a time, but the cost is about less than $400/month.

You are 100% correct, we do not have space right now for indoor activities. I will need some assistance in finding a space that we can use during the winter months. I am looking and thinking of working outdoors for as long as possible, since we will be doing the fights on grass and dirt.

But this is one of the reasons I hope I can count on you for support in getting this moving further and faster. You have always had a vision and long term planning that will make this work.

The Lynnhurst Community Center has an ENORMOUS room that we used for Commedia auditions, and it is nicely centrally located. I'm not sure what the rate to use it is though...mannapanna would know.

I'm interested, but: Does one have to have previous fight/stage combat experience to participate?

I prefer having some experience but I am willing to see what we can do, if you are willing to work.

I actually disagree with Mike. I've taught and worked with people ready and willing to learn the fight. If you have the passion, you can learn a fight or two and move from there.

I have minimal experience, but I've been wanting to do this for the last 3 years and it hasn't worked out.

I could care less about getting paid...I just want to kick or get kicked in the ass.

I am, of course, up for some street violence!

And actually, if Peggy and I fight together again, we DO have a history with fighting at fest - from our 2007 and 2008 fights.

But my October is already booked solid, and I mean SOLID. There may be a day here or there available, but it'll be tight for me to make much in Oct.

I only have one small sword class under my belt, but I've always wanted to get involved in street fights.

However, where rehearsals took place would be important since I live out in bum fuck nowhere now and we only have one car. Traveling is not the easiest for me anymore. Of course, I do have a 3 car garage (possibly heated if I get my thermostat fixed) and 3.5 acres, so it is possible that I might have some space available to do at least some rehearsing if people were willing to come out. Just throwing it out there for now.
