Nice!

I'm going to run a 5 mile trail course with hills in April, and I have no experience at all. I'm starting my training this week, and I'm scared to death.

Although 5K is a more typical starting target distance, there's no need to be scared. Start small, build gradually. The nice thing about running is that you get better very quickly.

The race was well-organized. Mile markers at every mile, and plentiful water stations whose frequency increased at the very end.

I never realized how spoiled I am, having only run races with the NY Roadrunners. On the other hand, I bet you didn't have to devote 10 mornings to running the year before (or pay $3k) to participate...

Also, congrats! What's the next one in the queue?

Whoa, you had to pay $3K to join a running group?

Anyway, thanks! Right now not much is in the queue aside from R&R, though there is a half marathon through the San Diego zoo that I'm considering.
