Gothic: Dark Glamour at the Museum at FIT, NYC.

I won't do this justice, but I'll report the best I can.

Arrived at the Museum at FIT with Kambriel, Curse, acid_poptart, ashbet, jola, JV, and ladytatiana. We pulled up to full-on paparazzi, red carpet, socialites...the whole 9 yards!! It was so exciting! Seriously, I've always dreamed of attending a fancy opening, and now I've

Wow - everything looks totally fabulous!!! Now I wish I had seen it in person! And they let you take pictures too! I saw Mina's DRacula dress on exhibit at FIT, but no pics were allowed - pretty please can I repost yours? (Do you have bigger versions of those two pics?) Happy to credit you however you like, of course! :-)

Go see it if you hit NYC before the end of November!! They wouldn't allow photos except at the private opening Thursday. Friday night? No photos allowed!

Since I was press, I got extensive time to photograph everything before the private opening, took several photos of Mina's dress, including some detail reference. I'm still sorting all the photos, let me know if you're interested though.

WOW! That is such a cool museum display!! I wish I was there. That is hilarious about the woman thinking you were part of the exhibit! LOL! And you look lovely as always. Congrats to Kambriel too!

The exhibition book was on display at the show. It's not available yet, but you can pre-order it cheap on Amazon.com. I looked through it, and it has so much more than just the gowns and accessories from the exhibit.

OMG. Those bat accessories, are they antiques? Stunning!!! I hope those & Kambriel's work & every antique & designer piece is fully documented in the book bec. I *have* to see this & learn more about each item!!!!

I'm now sorry I didn't photo all the description cards. I think some of the bat items were antiques, and others new. I can't WAIT for the book to come out later this year!

Some were definitely new -- I wish I'd gotten a good photo of the listings, because I WANT TO GO SHOPPING. :D
