Not cool

So everyone is pretty familiar with the big bouncy curls I wear. I purchased them about 2 years ago from Ragdolly.net for $20.00 each side. I just went to their website to order a new set, and I see the price has very suddenly increased a whopping 400%!!! Actually, part of the website still shows them as costing $20.00 per clip. This is a very ( Read more... )

I wonder what it would take to make your own clips. I'd go in on some hair if we could find it somewhere...

That is irritating. Come down here for the weekend, instead! For $80, you could probably pick them up, pay for gas and still have funds left over if you went to the hair supply store Jehanni found. The place is giganourmous--they'll have any kind of hairpiece you could imagine--at near wholesale.

I would have thought that they had them at any one of the huge hair supply stores in Philadelphia, but they have "regular" curly falls, not the smooth spiral curls.

Speaking of which, the next time I come remotely south will be for the Maryland Ren Faire. Do you guys go? Could we meet up if we pick a date that works for all?

I got mine for a reasonable price at ikickshins.net

I have ordered things from Ragdolly before that just never showed up, and the lack of response to my emails really pissed me off. Their customer service is abysmal, and there are quite a few threads out there to that show that I'm not the only one who's had problems.

Really? That full and that long (15") with tight spiral curls? *considering driving to NYC today*

I've tried and tried to get them from the Philadelphia hair supply stores, of which there are a million. They all shake their heads and say they've never seen them before. All they have are the loose curls or super short kids curls.

Google isn't turning up anything in NYC for "Kiko" or "Kiko's", darn it all.

Have you tried Sally's beauty supply? I've bought hair there before (there is one in exton) I know they sell clips, you could make your own. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sally's doesn't have the tight spiral curls, though, just loose curls. I suppose I could make them, but it would be such a pain in the butt and take sooo long. Some things I'm happy to make, but this one I'll leave to the professionals :D

And now you know why I've always made my own, or visited the local African hair/braiding stores...they carry EVERYTHING!!! I've never paid more than $30 for any hair piece.

My African hair supply stores don't carry the long, full, tight ringlet falls :(. I love their Marley dreads, though! Fun for my sculpture hair moments! They actually look futuristic!
