She's walking, and a few familiar locations from Discedo can be seen - the spires of the church behind her, the graveyard. She stops just shy of the park, and settles the device down for a second, looking up at her surroundings ( Read more... )

[ She's fine, entirely, in fact. Merely a tad bit on the frightened side, but she'll put up a front, continuing to eye Rosemary warily. ]

For - all I know... [ She waves about a hand, scowling. ] Maybe you - ah, messed it up. Maybe you brought yourself here instead of me! And only just managed to ...make it -- oh, I don't know! I don't know the first thing about your silly little magic tricks!

[Well, England was staring at her corpse not too long ago, so she'll have to forgive her for being just a little concerned.]

Don't be ridiculous. We've been kidnapped, obviously. Apparently a group of people called "the scientists" are behind it, there's no magic involved. Besides, I never make mistakes when it comes to magic. [Yes, you do, England...]

Kidnapped! Kidnapped. [ This does not shed a good light on the situation, not at all, and Marianne's expression is having the hardest of times trying to remain passively aggressive and calm. ]

What do you mean, we've been kidnapped? Scientists?! What - but how could this...happen?! What sort of scientists are these?

[ That's a lie, England. A lie, and Marianne knows it. ]

Do not be silly, ma puce, I know you have made mistakes before.

I never do. [And that's all she has to say on the matter.]

Rather rubbish ones. Either way we're trapped here and apparently completely unable to influence when we get set free. For now, anyway. And that's not even the strangest bit.

[ She'll drop it for now, but you can be sure it will come up again soon enough. ]

And....and what is the strangest bit?

[Rosemary hesitates for a moment and looks away for just a second.]

There are a few... Well, I hesitate to call them all gentlemen, but yes... There's a few of them around here and they're... [Sighs. If this isn't the bloody weirdest thing she's ever had to explain to someone.] Have you met a man called Francis over that thing yet?

[ What, why are you looking away? She keeps her gaze fixated on Rosemary, one hand resting on her hip, frowning somewhat. ]

Gentlemen? Ah - [ Francis, Francis, she's met Francis. ] The frenchman, oui? The one who - [ Her nose wrinkles a bit, she's not really sure how this sort of thing works. ] The wonderful one, bien sûr, but he seems to think he is France. Why do you ask?
