Time for our refresher.  Zebulon Bendett is the son of Raphael Bendett.  Alien son.  AND,  he has a twin brother, Cosmo.

Now that Zebulon has completed college, he's settled down with his new wife, Sophie Miguel Bendett and their assorted children.  Levator Miguel (Sophie's son with Count Cole Goldman), Zola Laide (Zebulon's daughter with Mosaic ( Read more... )

Oh man, superb work. I've never seen death by cowplant or resurrected a Sim so I was happy to see it now. LOL at "smells like a fart," I picture it emitting belches of sulphur. XD

Same here about the cowplant and resurrection. The whole thing was just too funny. X-D I also loved the banter between Zebulon and Sophie and Levator's somewhat, um... unusual reaction to his mother's death.

Also, your families are hella complicated. Don't you have any couples that just have children with each other? ;-)

As for my "hella-complicated" (love it!) families, no I don't have many that are "traditional".

The main focus of Nocheat (originally) was to breed Ugly sims. So, in breeding Ugly sims you can't really stick with the "traditional" family structure (male/female monogomous breeding pair).

Thankfully someone (I think it was simantics) turned me on to tribal pages (tribalpages.com). You can see all the horribly intertwined family trees there.

Believe me, I know all too well how confusing it is. Not only do I have the tribal pages, I also have a Birth Log (notebook where I write down who bred with who and what they had). It's the only way I can keep track of all the fornication.

Well, it's not as if I can blame you. I'm still relatively new to breeding Sims, but I too have fallen pray to wanting to try out different combinations for the most interesting results. Plus adultery is a good way to spice up their stories.

*cackles* Much love for the very detailed cowplant death and all the resurrection conversation. That's awesome. XD

So, is she 100% or did she get the step between full resurrection and zombitude where they come back all cranky and with their personalities shot? ;)

Wait for the next installment and you'll see (how well Sophie "came back" that is).

Cool! I don't think I've ever seen the whole cowplant process documented. "It won't hurt when I pull it off, will it?" Awww, she's sweet to care about the plant's pain.

Of course, I could just plant my own in one of my sim's yards, but that would require me thinking about it while playing (I'm a dork)

Zane's got BIG CHEEKS!!! :D

Yeah, when you have a cowplant, it's like another child. You have to watch it. I'm still not sure what happens if you don't feed it. I know it puts out the cake, but how long will it have cake? Will it eventually die? I know the money trees will die without water, so it would stand to reason the cowplant could suffer the same fate.

I'm just not brave enough to find out.

Zane grows into the cheeks (but is still wicked cute).

I can't wait to see. Zane's cheeks, I mean -- not what happens if you don't feed the cowplant.

Out of idle curiosity, I wonder how many cowplant owners have given them cow-typical names. Bessie, Bossy, Elsie, that kind of thing. Maybe I should start a thread.

I've wondered the same thing.

My bet would be they don't name them. I don't think other simmers get into the cowplant like we (that would be storytellers) do.

I've only officially named one. The Primate cow plant is Daisy.

With all this thinking about the cowplant, it makes me hopeful for a farm expansion pack. Think about it. The cowplant has a lot of animations to it (and interactions). So, if sims can interact with a cowplant (which is almost like a pet), why couldn't they have farm animals?

The farm animals could work the same way. They would have animations and a limited amount of interations. That way they wouldn't have to take up a slot in the 8 family member limit.

Damn, I think about this TOO much.

Zeb's eyes just draw my attention. They're fascinating.

Did you have to tell Sophie to go to the cowplant? Or did she wander over there on her own?

And for the weird question of the evening, could Sophie then drink the cowplant milk and get her own skills/stats boosted?

Yeah, Zebulon does have hypnotizing eyes. I love them.

I made Sophie go to the plant. I originally thought I wanted a preggo zombie, but it didn't pan out that way.

And I suppose she could drink her own milk (that sounds especially gross considering she's preggo!) but the milk doesn't give her better skills/stats. It only gives three more days (like elixir of life). Except (I don't think) it can backfire (ie take away life days).

Yeah, that does sound gross, doesn't it? ;D Never mind thinking about it if she actually remembers what happened. "Wait a minute... this is ME I'm - *barf*"

*calm down, just calm down. Oh, yeah, the freaky phone. Phew, it smells like a fart over here.*

LOL! You really do have intricate families, how do you keep up with them?

Is Levator PMSing?

"You really do have intricate families, how do you keep up with them?"

For all the mixed offspring families, I keep a Birth Log. Entries look like:

[non-married sims]: Bendett, Eugenia (w/Fortunado DeTreville): Melba (f)

[married sims]: Bendett, Marrissa and Raphael: Thetus (m)

I also make notes for alien abductions and adoptions. And the log is in order of birth, not by family.

It's all very nerdy.

How many notebooks have you filled? *heh*

I don't think I've ever completely filled one notebook. (gasp!)

I just transferred the old notebook (it ran out of pages because I kept removing sheets for other stuff) and the Birth Log takes up only 5 or so sheets. But I do leave a blank line between each entry, to make it easier to read. :)

I wisened up and got one of those subject notebooks. One section is JUST the birth log. Another is for wacky names and another is for ideas (who to breed with who, plot twists, etc).

I'm such a dork-etta.
