I don't know if you're looking for anything to help soothe your mouth a little, but I've been using some Biotene products for a few years now and they are really good for a sore mouth. I used to get frequent breakouts of canker sores, now I don't get them much and it's easier to get rid of them. The toothpaste is non-foaming. The mouthwash is VERY mild. It's almost as good as the prescription mouthwash I used to get (that was Tantum, if you want to ask your doctor about it).

There are also creams for sores I can recommend if you find the braces give you those.

At the worst, I found smoothies were one of the easiest things to ingest. You can pack lots of fruits and dairy into those. I also used to suck on ice cubes. Soups can be good, but I admit I often hate soup now because I used to have to eat it so much! Be careful with sugar, sometimes really sweet things can sting just as bad as something spicy :/

Hope you start feeling better soon!
