I'm glad the maxis_taste dare #15 goes all month and not just until Valentine's Day, since I'm a little behind.
SO, here's my second offering for Dare #15: Love for All Ages (Young Adult)
(Background: This story comes via Peculiar, one of my story 'hoods. Klara Vonderstein, chubby chaser, has been trying to bed down Aldric Davis, chubby boy, for some time. Aldric, while very attracted to Klara--even going so far as to kiss her, is still reeling from a bad experience in his teen years, when he was stalked by an infatuated girlfriend. For the record, Klara and Aldric are maxis made students in La Fiesta Tech AND Bella is a Bella Goth clone and DJ is DJ Verse, also a La Fiesta Tech maxis student)
"Bella, good morning."
Bella felt her mouth fall open but could do nothing to stop it.
"As there is little reason to expect even the semblance of privacy, given our current living conditions, I will be happy to answer any questions once I have made myself more presentable."
Pushing the door closed behind her, Klara turned from her friend and entered the bathroom. Bella, her mouth finally closed, stayed rooted in her place, staring at the portrait on the door.
Aldric Davis.
Klara and Aldric had finally. . .
With a yelp of laughter, she made her way to the kitchen to secure a table for them. It was still early but tables were limited and always seemed to be occupied by students who didn't even live in their dorm. It was a particularly sore spot of annoyance for Klara, who was not above telling the nuisances their presence was unwelcome and intrusive.
The kitchen was peacefully empty, even of the university hired cook. Bella nodded her approval as she set the coffee pot to brew. This rare moment of complete privacy could only serve to encourage Klara to linger on her story, sparing no detail.
Arriving exactly fifteen minutes later, Klara took a seat opposite her friend and, after first one then two tentative sips of her coffee, gave Bella exactly what she wanted.
"Last evening, I agreed to accompany Aldric on a formal date," she began. Bella nodded but said nothing, afraid to mutter even the smallest sound lest she spoil the moment.
"Aldric was quite insistent in everything going according to some predetermined plan. Despite the fact we share a residence, he made a show of arriving at the door. I immediately noticed not only his well tailored suit but his trimmed hair."
"He wasted no time in entering and complimenting my own attire. I was a bit taken aback by his reaction. It is not as if he is unfamiliar with seeing me in classically feminine garb. And, while I was in agreement to the formal date, I did not alter my appearance as much as Aldric himself."
"I will freely admit my formal attire is a scant more revealing than my day to day garb. Aldric was clearly appreciative of this fact and I, too, enjoyed the added attention."
"After a round of very blatant and enjoyable flirting, Aldric announced, via a dramatic kiss of my hand, our transport had arrived."
"We were delivered to the highly popular Downtown eatery, Londoste. Despite having secured a reservation, the hostess informed us there would be a short wait and directed us to the bar. While I found this highly inappropriate, Aldric agreed and we retired to as directed."
"I mentioned to Aldric that this appeared to be a classic bait and switch tactic. He replied with a smile and assured me he was not upset and that a drink might help us both relax."
"Unfortunately, the confident and assertive Aldric who had greeted me at the dormitory had been replaced by a far more meek version. This meek Aldric was unable to attract the attention of the clearly disinterested bartender. Under normal circumstances, I would have dismissed the lax service as just that and chosen to forgo the unnecessary expenditure but Aldric had clearly noted he desired a drink to ease his nerves."
"I took it upon myself to attract the bartender's attention and give him the specifics of our requests."
"I was pleased to discover he was, despite my initial assumption, very competent."
"Aldric was visibly concerned, fearing I had offended the bartender. I assured them both the drink was quite to my liking."
"After receiving and sampling his own cocktail, Aldric was in agreement, adding he had never partaken of such an exotic drink. The bartender assured us it was not something he prepared often and had enjoyed the experience as well."
"Aldric, the bartender and I enjoyed pleasant conversation until the hostess arrived to see Aldric and I to the table."
"Much to my surprise, moments later a fresh round of cocktails arrived, compliments of the bartender. Aldric's nerves were clearly not eased and he took to the new drink with vigor."
"By the time our waitress was prepared to accept our order, Aldric was clearly fortified by his drink. He eagerly engaged her in casual conversation."
"I was far more concerned with making certain she had noted the specifics of our order. For my diligence, Aldric once again rewarded me with a nervous bordering on worried expression."
"At this point I was quite certain our meal would be every bit as enjoyable as our cocktails. However, I was concerned Aldric was not as confident. He had, after all, expressed a low level of distress over my firm hand with first the bartender and then the waitress. I had doubts he was enjoying my company."
"My momentary doubts were alleviated when he once again began flirting, this time by coyly maneuvering his hand across the table toward me while professing once again how attractive he found me and how pleased he was I had agreed to his request for a formal date."
"Our hand holding was truncated by the arrival of our meals."
"To my displeasure, the food had not arrived disassembled as I had clearly requested. While I am not by nature a squeamish woman, I have never been able to stomach the appearance of un-dissected lobster."
"Aldric did not share my displeasure."
"While I labored to attract the server's attention, Aldric attacked the hideous crustacean with a vigor not unlike that shown his cocktails."
"Roused by the server's arrival and subsequent removal of my own plate, Aldric apologized profusely. Having been plagued with nervousness in anticipation of our formal date, he had foregone his daily meals. I reminded him that was unhealthy and he assured me it was not something he normally engaged in. I am sure you can, as we did, appreciate the humor in that comment."
Bella laughed and nodded, continuing to hold all questions until Klara had completed her tale.
"I shared with him my deep seated revulsion for intact lobster and, in what was clearly an attempt to soothe me, he made a show of blowing a kiss. I was taken by the gesture and threw myself, wholeheartedly, into the game."
"As he proceeded with his meal, Aldric repeatedly requested I select a second entree. I assured him my appetite had been squelched."
"Our dining complete, he rose from his chair, offered me his hand and, in a smooth and very confident manner, pulled me into his embrace. His mouth close to my ear, he whispered he was sorry my meal had been unsatisfactory. I assured him, through my words and the press of my body to his, that I was not disappointed in our formal date."
"In an attempt to maintain a level of decorum I gently released him. With his hands firmly on my hips, Aldric made it quite clear he was not as concerned."
"He clearly and without hesitation expressed his desire to return to the dormitory and continue the date in his room. Distracted as I was, by the image of our bodies freed of our formal attire and intertwined in passion, my reaction was raw and unedited."
"As he leaned forward, I was eager to receive his kiss."
"Stirred by his confession and his kiss, I became quite assertive."
"Aldric enjoyed my aggressive flirting and wasted no time in securing our return transport. We sat close to one another, my hand stroking higher and higher along Aldric's inner thigh as he tried to reply to the driver's casual conversation."
"Once returned to the dormitory we could manage only a modicum of composure, so eager were we to be sequestered in his room."
Klara arched her eyebrows, grinning broadly as she leaned back in her chair. Bella remained quiet as the pair sipped from their coffee mugs. Satisfied that Klara had brought the tale full circle, Bella finally spoke, muttering the first thing that came to mind.
"DJ's gonna SHIT when she hears this."
Klara laughed, a deep and full sound, as she returned her mug to the tabletop.
"Oh, Bella. . .," she chuckled again. "Donna Jo is way ahead of you on this one."
