I thought this was surprisingly good. You're right, though, that men are not pivotal or even involved in this movie. I'd say the doctor was actually the most important male character, and he's this like half-creepy, half-robotic character.

I would add, though, there are a lot of movies that make me feel insignificant as a woman.
