Will rocks and is awesome!

I find it hard to interact with people WITHOUT some kind of game or somesuch. Sitting around and talking... uh, I used to be able to do that in college.... But yes, last night was really nice. I didn't even realize it was just hanging out 'til about halfway through, by which point I realized I wasn't even uncomfortable! It was good times.

Yeah. A couple weeks ago, the Bellevue crowd asked me to come out to a bar with them. I almost didn't want to go because I didn't get it. I mean, what will we do there? Are we bringing games? Can't we just drink at home for cheaper? How is one even supposed to act at bars? I went anyway and had a lot of fun just chilling and goofing off, but it was highly unusual and unexpected to my gamer lizard-brain.

I realized I wasn't even uncomfortable!

I love it when that happens!

Ok, having nearly the first thing I see online this morning be "you are indisputably awesome" was, in fact, awesome. Until very recently, just about all of our interactions have been very structured activities, and I tend to hide a bit when the Magic talk breaks out, so it's not actually all that surprising it's taken us a bit longer to get to know each other.

Last night was great. Like astridsdream, it was better than an hour before it occurred to me that we were just hanging out, and that this rarely happens. Thank you again for having us over, and for being quite awesome yourself.

Our group has a large number of topics that cause this to happen for various members, depending on the topic.
Magic, WotC shop-talk/gossip, Cornell College/Chess 'n' Games, Legacies, Warhammer 40k, and "back in Illinois..." are the most notable I can think of at the moment, though I'm sure there are more.
Well, at least everyone has a chance to feel excluded :p. Luckily we all have a lot of common points of interest to counterbalance.

So anyway, thanks again for hanging out.
