Ah, Russian Club dinner today was an adventure. I came the most prepared, having cut and measured everything in advance and brought most of my own implements; this turned out well, since my dish (paprikas csirke--shh, I know it's Hungarian) took a while to cook, and I was still done early enough to help with the blini. Ooooh! My mother is Hungarian and makes something extremely similar to this every Christmas Eve. With spaetzles. Yummy!

Yeah, endril_lei picked up the recipe in Austria and passed it along to me. I'd made something kind of similar before, but this came out particularly yummy, probably because of all the fat. :-)

Er, this may sound dumbass, but what did you use to cook it? Frying pan, skillet, saucepan?

Well, I doubled the recipe, so I needed a big pot; for the recipe as reported, I think a nice deep sautee pan should hold everything well enough.

I can vouch for this recipe being amazing. As were the blini (solely due to our outrageously fantastic egg beatin' skills).

And I'd be hibernating right now, if I didn't have to study...
