*narrows eyes*

The *only* thing that's gone to plan, since last Friday, was the electrician turned up promptly on Saturday to install us some new plug sockets. I thought I was going to be able to leave him upstairs quietly getting on with stuff, while I read, drank tea, ate biscuits and read over at Kgal's, then we discovered that rather than having an upstairs ( Read more... )

I have never heard of magic loop knitting.

Which are you in the photo?

I know tethering is possible in theory, but I've no idea how (I don't have a cell phone, let alone one with internet on it). Maybe google it now that you have working internet so you'll be able to do it if there is a next time?

YAY FOR CONSCI_FAN_MO!!!! I'm off to attempt voting but when I get back I'll start thinking of prompts.

It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, but it works (and finally got me using the circular knitting needle that I bought pretty much exactly a year ago and have never used!) It also has an itwillonlyworkforcircularknitting cast on that is *awesome*.

I'm in the back left corner, closest to the window (and the heater).

Good luck with the voting. I've just been watching arrangements they've made in NY. Looks like some people are going to have to be very determined voters.

I always use the magic loop instead of dpns because I have a set of interchangeable needles so I can easily change the length of my circular needles (plus I don't have any dpns), but I've never seen that way of casting on before! I did something similar but I think that involved knitting off a crochet chain or something.

Looks potentially very useful!

Whereas I have a LOT of dpns and that one solitary circular needle (not interchangeable). I may have to start looking at interchangeable ones. I'll probably end up with KnitPro as they do crochet hook ends that can be used on the same uh cord? as the knitting needles.

I liked that cast on a lot; it's best to go at it with a gung-ho attitude and not stop to think, as soon as you stop it tends to go dreadfully wrong.
