Yeah, personally I don't understand the no hug thing, especially since he said he loves to hug people. But he's trying to put up some boundaries at photo ops, including saying no to those over-the-top poses, and that's a good thing.

Well, if it is his wife's request, you can understand it; after all, she was a fan herself - she knows us! And - not that I think this is necessarily the case - maybe he's just had enough of people being too grabby, and/or getting everyone's colds and stuff, but doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by saying so.

Yes, Seapea knows guitar chords yay! Right after I got done with James, she was able to replicate what he had showed me. I'm so happy about that.

No, not at all! There were quite a few really nifty actors there. I'm sorry you missed it, though. Saturday was sold out, by the way. So next year (they said there will be a Grand Slam again next year) you'll want to get your ticket a few weeks beforehand.

Thanks for the always awesome pictures and detailed stories! I'm glad that when I met him ten years ago, I did get my hug back then. :) And got my huggy picture. Though the picture looks silly (more like I don't like how I look in the picture), it's nice to have a memory. :) I didn't even realize my picture with him after his play last year is verboten with the arm over my shoulder. Just wow.

But yeah, it makes sense to have limits on what fans ask for in photos. Though a respectful hug should not be a big deal but gotta respect his wife's wishes.

I think that's still OK. He takes most of his photo ops that way now, including mine at this con. Check out that pic I took moments later. He's got his arm over the fan's shoulder.
