“I’m really really sorry Kanyon…” Ryutaro said once more.
Kanon had been quiet since Ryutaro had fetched her from her house. Now, they were on their way to H!P HQ.
“Kanyon…” Ryutaro called the girl walking in front of him.
Kanon sighed and looked at Ryutaro.
“I just can’t believe you’re canceling on me…” she said quietly. “You’d already promise we’ll celebrate my birthday together.”
“I know… and I’m sorry. Dad suddenly announced we're going to Hokkaido…” Ryutaro explained.
“And you were late earlier as well…”
“I’m sorry. My mom made me pack…”
Kanon didn’t reply.
“I’m really sorry…” Ryutaro repeated, tugging Kanon on her shoulder.
Kanon sighed once more.
“I know it’s not your fault… But I’m sorry Ryuu, can we not talk now? I don’t want to say anything while I’m mad…” she said not looking at Ryuu.
“I’m sorry.” Ryuu said once more.
“Here is fine.” Kanon said. They were a corner away from her HQ.
Ryutaro nodded glumly.
“Well, I’ll go now, then…” he said.
But before he could take a step away, Kanon called him again.
“’Til what time is your work today?” Kanon asked in monotone. But Ryuu smiled at the reminder of how Kanon cares for him.
“Around afternoon. The radio usually ends by then. I’ll mail you when we’re done.” Ryuu said.
Kanon nodded but didn’t look at Ryuu. She was still mad after all.
Ryuu cringe at Kanon’s coldness but nevertheless said, “Bye then… I’ll call you later. I’m sorry again…”
Kanon just nodded and started walking to her HQ.

Takaki looked at the sea before him.
The sea always have a calming effect for Takaki, but for this day, it just makes him sad.
He was feeling nostalgic. They had always come here together.
But that was before. Now it's all gone.
She's gone.
Takaki smiled bitterly at the sea. He didn't know if it was mocking him but the sea seemed sad as well. The sky was cloudy and the sea just seemed too calm.
Takaki took one last look at the sea. He bid it farewell and went back to his car.
'I have to stop coming here.' he chided himself.

"Sanada! Sanada!" Inoo whispered desperately.
His friend was sleeping in class again. He was always the one to wake him up.
"Sanada!" He called once more, now throwing an eraser at him.
He stirred.
"Sanada!" Inoo called one last time. And finally, Sanada woke up.
Inoo laughed at his panicked face. When he seemed to get hold of what's happening, he looked at Inoo and mumbled a thanks.
"No problem. How was work last night?" Inoo asked.
"Tough. As always, but I'm getting by." Sanada said, yawning.
"How's your work?"
"Tough. But it's fun." Inoo said and then the both of them started listening to their professor once more.

Daiki's phone vibrated. He took it out and saw that Ryuu mailed him.
'On my way...' it said.
Daiki sighed. He was already in front of Horikohshi Gakuen. They had agreed to meet up here after Yuto's class so they go together to work.
But Ryuu is sooo late. And Yuto said he'll be a bit late since he needs to attend their next class cause their terror sensei suddenly said they'll have a long quiz.
"I shouldn't have rushed here..." Daiki said, sighing yet again.
He heard laughter and looked at the playground near the school. There were children playing there. He remembered goofing off with his classmates there when he was still studying in Horikoshi.
For the meantime he took his time watching the children.

"Ahhh! Where's Chii when you need him? Why is sensei torturing us? Suddenly announcing a long quiz...." Kamiki said half panicked, half exasperated.
"What don't you understand?" Mirai asked calmly. She knew panicking wouldn't help. They were already rushing cramming three chapters of chemistry in their head.
"What about this triacylglycerol? I don't understand at all!" Kamiki whined.
"Teach me too! Teach me too!" Shougo said, moving near the two.
"Me too!" Saaya chirped. "Just, teach the whole class Mira, go to the front!"
Mirai sighed but oblige.
"I kinda envy Yama-chan and Chii... they don't have to take the long quiz." Jingi said.
"I don't think that's very lucky." Umika said. "Sensei wouldn't excuse them, I'm sure."
"That's right" Yuto said. "Mou~ And I'm making Dai-chan and Ryuu-chan wait...."
"I'm sure they will understand..." Suzuka said patting Yuto on the back.

"Can we take a break?" Ayaka asked their choreographer politely.
"5 minutes." she said.
The four members all went to their bags to get towels and drinks.
"Come on, Kanyon. Cheer up. Where's our hyper Kanon?" Yuuka said.
Kanon sighed. "I'm sorry... I'm just not in the mood today..."
Saki went in front of Kanon and pulled her lips into a smile. "Smile, Kanyon! We're S/mileage after all. Nothing will happen if you're sad so just smile! I'm sure Ryutaro-kun will make it up to you."
"I know..." Kanon said glumly. "And I feel guilty at how I acted earlier... But I just want to spend more time with him. Our schedule never seems to agree."
"Smile." Ayaka said. And the three of them started grinning like idiots that Kanon just had to smile.
"That's better." Ayaka said. "And I'm sure Ryutaro-kun will want you to keep smiling too, ne?"

"Jin!"
Jin looked back. He was already outside the studio on his way to his next work.
"Kota!" He smiled as he saw Yabu approach.
"I'm glad I caught you." Yabu said smiling at his Nii-chan.
"Why are you here? Does JUMP have a show today?" Jin asked.
"Nah, I just wanted to see you. We've never seen each other for ages. How are you?" Yabu asked excitedly.
"I'm great. I love being back. I missed this place." Jin said. "How are you? You're so tall now, I remember always carrying you before... it seems you're the Nii-chan now."
Yabu grinned.
But before Yabu could respond, a woman tapped Jin and said, "I'm sorry but we really have to go now..." It seems it was his manager.
Jin's smile dropped, "Kota..."
"It's okay, let's just catch up when we''re both free, ne?"
Jin nodded.
"Are you going home now?" Jin asked.
"Hmm.. Maybe I'll watch NYC first, then I'll go. See you then, Nii..."
Jin smiled. "Ja."

Ryuu's phone rang. He answered it.
"Mom?"
"Ryuu, where are you now?" His mom asked.
"Radio show's finished. I'm on my way to Horikoshi. I'm meeting Dai-chan and Yuto for the meeting..."
"Ah, can you make a detour to our house? Natsune-chan forgot her Enna-chan and you know she just can't sleep without her. We're at the studio now." His mom said.
"Sure... where did she left it?" Ryuu asked.
"By the living room, she said. Oh, and check if Shin gave enough food for Chii, okay?"
"Got it. I'll call you later."

Keito sighed. He couldn't believe he did it again.
He was currently in his favorite coffee shop. And he didn't have enough money.
He sighed again.
'Guess I have to call someone again.'
Keito took out his phone and dialed Daiki's number.
It rang three times and then it stopped.
Keito was confused. What happened?
He looked at his phone to see that...
his battery was dead.

Ryuu entered their house and went straight to their living room. Surely, Enna the doll was there by the sofa.
He took it and went next to Chii, their dog.
But Chii was acting weird. His tail was facing down and it seems he don't recognize Ryuu.
"Chii?"
Suddenly, he started howling.

Hikaru woke up with start. It was his off today, but why was his phone ringing?
He groggily stood up and looked for his phone.
"Hello?" He answered sleepily.
"Mom? I'm fine... why are you calling so early in the morning?? Eh? it's already 2?" He looked at his clock, surely it was already pass 2PM.
"Well, it's my off..."
Suddenly the connection cut off. Hikaru didn't know why, but suddenly his heart started beating fast.
And then it happened.

It was so sudden it was as if the time suddenly stopped.
Yamada, Chinen and Yuma was already on standby when it happened. They were expecting to hear 'Yume Tamago' but instead they heard rumbling coming from below. As if coming from the ground. Suddenly, everything shook.

Daiki felt it but the thought of 'earthquake' registered a few seconds after it started.
Immediately he looked at the children. He felt his adrenaline rush as he surged to the children. A little girl was grabbing onto the monkey bars as the earth shook.

Saaya's calculator fell. That was the first thing that happened.
The class went silent then. And as if it was a cue. Everything started shaking.
"Duck!" Kamiki had shouted. Everyone duck and went under their tables except for one.
Mirai was in front then, and away from anything she could cover herself with. Suddenly the light by the white board started blinking and Yuto knew what was coming.
He felt numb at the thought.
But then Suzuka suddenly called out.
"Mirai!!! Get out of there!"
And Yuto found himself running to Mirai.

It only lasted for moments but Hikaru felt it was so long.
Right after the earthquake the electricity was cut off.
After a while, it went back again and Hikaru immediately opened his television.
But then another wave came and Hikaru lost his footing.
Hikaru's heart felt like it was lead.

It was Inoo's professor who shouted to duck.
Inoo did so along with his classmates.
A while later they could hear big crashes below coupled with screams.
His female classmates started screaming as well.
Inoo took out his phone. It was a great earthquake, certainly. He needed to call for help. It didn't seem the building would stand for long.
But then there was another wave and Inoo's phone had slipped from his hands.

It was over.
It was finally over. But this wasn't really a relief to them.
"Yabu-kun, arigatou." Yuma said. Yabu had saved them.
The three of them were looking down earlier they didn't realize a speaker was coming off. Yabu had rushed to them and pushed them away so they only had a few scratches.
Yabu-kun had the worst of it but luckily it was only a gushed round his ankle.
It didn't seem Yabu-kun heard Yuma though. He was busy making calls.
And then it hit him. Why wasn't he making calls? He felt very disorganized.
He immediately took out his phone and started dialing his sister's number.
The line was busy. He tried his dad's number.
He immediately answered.
It seems everyone is fine. And he and his sister just coincided in calling each other.
Yuma sighed in relief.
Beside him, Yamada did the same. It seems his family is safe as well.
But then Chinen. He had been repeatedly dialing his home's number. But it seems he can't reach them.
After a phone call, Yabu suddenly spoke.
"Yuto and Daiki is in the hospital." He said.
Yamada, Yuma and Chinen all paled and Yabu immediately added, "Nothing serious, just minor injuries."
Yamada nodded numbly.
"Yabu-kun..." Chinen said. "I can't reach my family."
Yamada was surprised to hear that. He was suddenly reminded of a 12 year old Chii.
Yabu-kun smiled at Chinen. "We'll do everything to reach them. I'll ask the agency as well." He reassured him.
Chinen just nodded.
After a while, he tried calling his family again. But he just can't reach them.
Yamada's phone rang then.
Yamada answered it at once.
"Mirai!" he exclaimed, relief in his voice.
"Ryosuke! Are you okay? What happened there?"
"I'm fine." Yamada said. "How about you?"
"Everyone's safe. Just some minor injuries. We're at the hospital right now. We rushed Yuto. He got the worst. He... he covered me when the light was about to drop on me--"
"Are you okay?!?!" Yamada asked, his heart hammering.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Not even a scratch. Yuto really saved me. He's fine as well. Just an injury on his left hand. And Arioka-san is here, too. It seems he save a girl from falling. He's fine, too. Both of them are very energetic. We've also received calls from our families. No one seems to be hurt." Mirai explained.
"Thank God."
"How about you there?" Mirai asked.
"Everyone's safe here. Some minor injuries but nothing to worry about. I've also got a call from mom. They're safe. Yabu-kun's making other calls. But Chii... he can't reach his family. He'd been trying for a while now."
"Oh..." Mirai said. For once, she was lost for words.
"Hey, Mirai?"
"Yeah?"
"Is Umika with you?" Yamada asked.
"Yes, I'll give her the phone." Mirai said, understanding at once.
"Mirai!" Yamada called before Mirai could pass the phone.
"Hm?"
"I love you." Yamada said. He just have to say it right now.
There was a pause and then, "I love you, too, Ryosuke. Now give the phone to Chii and I'll give mine to Umika."
"Ah." Yamada said.
"I'll see you, soon." Mirai said.
"Later, then."
Yamada approached Chii and gave him the phone.
Chii was surprised but took it anyway.
"Ka-chan?"
For once, Chinen seemed to loosen up.
But Yamada was surprised to see tears falling from his eyes...
"Ka-chan... I don't know what happened to mom and dad and neechan..."

Takaki was inside his car when it happened. All he could was grabbed onto his wheel, It didn't help much but that was the only thing he could do just then.
Luckily, it was red light when it happened.

Yabu felt so old. This was the first time he had felt like this.
He was a bit calm now compared to earlier.
Yabu's family was safe. The members are safe as well.
Both Keito and Takaki had found ways to contact the agency.
He was also able to call Hikaru. It seems he was safe as well as his family thought they now didn't have a home.
They had also contacted Chinen's family and they seemed to be in good health as well. He heard their house was damage but that was the least of their worries right now.
Jin was safe, too. And his other senpais and kouhais as well.
He was just waiting for those two.
Kei and Ryuu. He still hasn't heard any news from them.
It was worrying. Kei... he always call Yabu. It felt odd for Yabu not to hear anything from him for hours.
And Ryuu... Yabu had heard from his family but he wasn't with them. He felt sick with worry.
Suddenly, Yabu's phone vibrated. It was a mail from Inoo's mom.
'Kei is safe. He got stuck at his university but Takizawa-san was near and he had come and fetched him.'
Yabu was so relieve he actually cried.
Now only Ryuu.
'Ryuu, where are you?'

They were at practice when it happened.
Nothing extreme happened to them and after just a while they were reassured that their families were safe.
But til now Kanon was still crying.
"I don't what to do... I don't know where he is... What will I do, Saki? And I was so cold to him earlier.... What if something happened to him? I can't reach him. Even Shin or Yabu-kun doesn't know where he is. I don''t know what to do. What should I do, Saki?"
Kanon continued to sobbed at Saki and all Saki could do was pat her on her back.
Ayaka hated seeing Kanon like this. Usually, she was the life of their band.
Their agency had asked them to stay in their HQ for tonight since it wasn't safe to travel just yet. Their manager had told them to rest but Kanon still hadn't even blink a sleep. They couldn't blame her though, it's Ryutaro-kun missing and with all the aftershock...
It was past 12. It was already Kanon's birthday but Yuuka just couldn't greet her.
She was sure she even forgot it was her birthday.
Finally at around 2AM, Kanon had cried herself to sleep.
But it was short-lived as around 4AM another earthquake hit.
It wasn't as powerful as the one before but it brought more fear than ever.
That was when Kanon's phone rang.
She immediately answered it as the rest of the members watched.
Kanon burst out crying. But the three knew it was different this time. It was a cry of relief. Surely it was Ryutaro-kun.

The sun had shone upon Japan. Japan still had not recover. But the light of the sun is encouraging.
Everyone was doing all they can to help each other. Other countries were taking part as well. Many are praying for Japan.
Surely Japan will be able to rise again.

Kusano had marched into his old HQ and went straight to NEWS' waiting room.
"Would all of you stop calling every freaking minute?! I'm alive, okay?!"
The NEWS members all stared at the figure in front of them for a second and then.
"NOTTIIIIII~~~~~"

"I'm coming!" Jin called out. Someone was incessantly ringing his doorbell.
He was dumbfounded to see all his former bandmates outside his home.
"Kame...? Tagu--"
The five of them let themselves in.
"Wait, what's happening?" Jin asked, laughing a bit.
"Ueda's house was damage, so we'll move in here for a bit." Nakamaru said.
"I heard." Jin said. "I'm sorry about that Ueda."
Ueda shook his head, smiling sadly.
"But guys," Jin called out again. "Why are all of you moving here?" he asked laughing.

Yuto grinned as he saw his friends enter his hospital room. He was surrounded by his loved ones. His family, his friends, Suzuka...
Normally, hospitals doesn't allow this many visitors at once, but they are being lenient right now. And Yuto was happy about that.
He could have lost a hand but he didn't care as long as they were there.
"How's the hand?" Yamada asked.
"Healing..."
"Yama-chan, have you met with Mirai? She's very worried. Chii, too. Umika is very worried." Suzuka had asked.
"I'll go after this." Yamada said. And Chinen nodded.
"Baka, go now." Yuto said, shooing them out.
Yamada and Chinen grinned at him and obliged. "Then, we'll return later."
He looked back to his other friends. "How are you guys?"
"Everyone's alright." Yabu answered.
Yuto smiled.
"Wait, where's Ryuu?"

"Tough work, huh?" Sakurai said.
Aiba shrugged. "Tough times." They were helping out with preparing the relief goods.
"But it does give a bittersweet feeling, ne?" Nino said.
"Yeah.." Jun said and the others nodded.
"These kind of calamities help us get back to the ground when we became too proud. It makes us realize we're still human." Leader had said.

Ryuu had went straight to his family as soon as he can.
After Chii howled, the dog ran out their house and Ryuu had ran after him.
They stopped by a huge tree from where Ryutaro had played as a child.
Right after that was the earthquake. It was so powerful, Ryutaro was took by surprise. Hehad grabbed onto the big tree and surprisingly, the tree remained still. Chii as well was gluing his body to the tree.
After a while it stopped. He was safe but he had forgetten to bring his phone with him, rushing after Chii. The was back to his home was blocked by scattered furniture and some lamp post that fell. Anyway Ryuu thought it still wasn't safe because Chii was still whimpering.
He had stayed there with Chii. There were aftershocks but the tree remained unwavering.
It was dark when he had reach his home. His home stood, but inside furniture and glassware were everywhere. He had a hard time looking for his phone. And when he did, he immediately called his mom. His mom was hysterical but he had managed to calm him down. He was told that someone would be coming for him. In the meantime he had called Kanon.
"Hello?" Kanon's voice was hoarse. Ryuu felt very guilty. Not really knowing what to say he blurted.
"Happy Birthday Kanyon!"
Kanon had burst out crying. She was twice as hysterical as his mom. He had talk to her until he was fetched.
His family had spend overnight in the hospital for the check up. After that, he immediately went to H!P's HQ.
Kanon had rushed to him the moment she saw him. She was crying yet again.
"Kanyon, I've made you cry so much already..." Ryuu had tried to soothe.
But Kanon just kept crying and hugging him.
Ryuu hugged him back. He didn't really want to let go of her. He don't even care if they were in their HQ.
And it seems the agency didn't care as well.

Tamamori patted the little boy's back. Kaoru had been stranded in the train and was only retrieved just then. They were staying at the HQ right now.
It must have been a shock for the little Jr.
He was calming down. He was trying hard not to cry. He looked up to Tamamori and then and ask,
"Why should this things happen?"
Tamamori smiled sadly at the little boy.
"It's a reminder to us."
"Reminder?"
Tamamori nodded. "It reminds us whats the most important to us."

"I know..." Kanon said glumly. "And I feel guilty at how I acted earlier... But I just want to spend more time with him. Our schedule never seems to agree."
"Smile." Ayaka said. And the three of them started grinning like idiots that Kanon just had to smile.
"That's better." Ayaka said. "And I'm sure Ryutaro-kun will want you to keep smiling too, ne?"

"Jin!"
Jin looked back. He was already outside the studio on his way to his next work.
"Kota!" He smiled as he saw Yabu approach.
"I'm glad I caught you." Yabu said smiling at his Nii-chan.
"Why are you here? Does JUMP have a show today?" Jin asked.
"Nah, I just wanted to see you. We've never seen each other for ages. How are you?" Yabu asked excitedly.
"I'm great. I love being back. I missed this place." Jin said. "How are you? You're so tall now, I remember always carrying you before... it seems you're the Nii-chan now."
Yabu grinned.
But before Yabu could respond, a woman tapped Jin and said, "I'm sorry but we really have to go now..." It seems it was his manager.
Jin's smile dropped, "Kota..."
"It's okay, let's just catch up when we''re both free, ne?"
Jin nodded.
"Are you going home now?" Jin asked.
"Hmm.. Maybe I'll watch NYC first, then I'll go. See you then, Nii..."
Jin smiled. "Ja."

Ryuu's phone rang. He answered it.
"Mom?"
"Ryuu, where are you now?" His mom asked.
"Radio show's finished. I'm on my way to Horikoshi. I'm meeting Dai-chan and Yuto for the meeting..."
"Ah, can you make a detour to our house? Natsune-chan forgot her Enna-chan and you know she just can't sleep without her. We're at the studio now." His mom said.
"Sure... where did she left it?" Ryuu asked.
"By the living room, she said. Oh, and check if Shin gave enough food for Chii, okay?"
"Got it. I'll call you later."

Keito sighed. He couldn't believe he did it again.
He was currently in his favorite coffee shop. And he didn't have enough money.
He sighed again.
'Guess I have to call someone again.'
Keito took out his phone and dialed Daiki's number.
It rang three times and then it stopped.
Keito was confused. What happened?
He looked at his phone to see that...
his battery was dead.

Ryuu entered their house and went straight to their living room. Surely, Enna the doll was there by the sofa.
He took it and went next to Chii, their dog.
But Chii was acting weird. His tail was facing down and it seems he don't recognize Ryuu.
"Chii?"
Suddenly, he started howling.

Hikaru woke up with start. It was his off today, but why was his phone ringing?
He groggily stood up and looked for his phone.
"Hello?" He answered sleepily.
"Mom? I'm fine... why are you calling so early in the morning?? Eh? it's already 2?" He looked at his clock, surely it was already pass 2PM.
"Well, it's my off..."
Suddenly the connection cut off. Hikaru didn't know why, but suddenly his heart started beating fast.
And then it happened.

It was so sudden it was as if the time suddenly stopped.
Yamada, Chinen and Yuma was already on standby when it happened. They were expecting to hear 'Yume Tamago' but instead they heard rumbling coming from below. As if coming from the ground. Suddenly, everything shook.

Daiki felt it but the thought of 'earthquake' registered a few seconds after it started.
Immediately he looked at the children. He felt his adrenaline rush as he surged to the children. A little girl was grabbing onto the monkey bars as the earth shook.

Saaya's calculator fell. That was the first thing that happened.
The class went silent then. And as if it was a cue. Everything started shaking.
"Duck!" Kamiki had shouted. Everyone duck and went under their tables except for one.
Mirai was in front then, and away from anything she could cover herself with. Suddenly the light by the white board started blinking and Yuto knew what was coming.
He felt numb at the thought.
But then Suzuka suddenly called out.
"Mirai!!! Get out of there!"
And Yuto found himself running to Mirai.

It only lasted for moments but Hikaru felt it was so long.
Right after the earthquake the electricity was cut off.
After a while, it went back again and Hikaru immediately opened his television.
But then another wave came and Hikaru lost his footing.
Hikaru's heart felt like it was lead.

It was Inoo's professor who shouted to duck.
Inoo did so along with his classmates.
A while later they could hear big crashes below coupled with screams.
His female classmates started screaming as well.
Inoo took out his phone. It was a great earthquake, certainly. He needed to call for help. It didn't seem the building would stand for long.
But then there was another wave and Inoo's phone had slipped from his hands.

It was over.
It was finally over. But this wasn't really a relief to them.
"Yabu-kun, arigatou." Yuma said. Yabu had saved them.
The three of them were looking down earlier they didn't realize a speaker was coming off. Yabu had rushed to them and pushed them away so they only had a few scratches.
Yabu-kun had the worst of it but luckily it was only a gushed round his ankle.
It didn't seem Yabu-kun heard Yuma though. He was busy making calls.
And then it hit him. Why wasn't he making calls? He felt very disorganized.
He immediately took out his phone and started dialing his sister's number.
The line was busy. He tried his dad's number.
He immediately answered.
It seems everyone is fine. And he and his sister just coincided in calling each other.
Yuma sighed in relief.
Beside him, Yamada did the same. It seems his family is safe as well.
But then Chinen. He had been repeatedly dialing his home's number. But it seems he can't reach them.
After a phone call, Yabu suddenly spoke.
"Yuto and Daiki is in the hospital." He said.
Yamada, Yuma and Chinen all paled and Yabu immediately added, "Nothing serious, just minor injuries."
Yamada nodded numbly.
"Yabu-kun..." Chinen said. "I can't reach my family."
Yamada was surprised to hear that. He was suddenly reminded of a 12 year old Chii.
Yabu-kun smiled at Chinen. "We'll do everything to reach them. I'll ask the agency as well." He reassured him.
Chinen just nodded.
After a while, he tried calling his family again. But he just can't reach them.
Yamada's phone rang then.
Yamada answered it at once.
"Mirai!" he exclaimed, relief in his voice.
"Ryosuke! Are you okay? What happened there?"
"I'm fine." Yamada said. "How about you?"
"Everyone's safe. Just some minor injuries. We're at the hospital right now. We rushed Yuto. He got the worst. He... he covered me when the light was about to drop on me--"
"Are you okay?!?!" Yamada asked, his heart hammering.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Not even a scratch. Yuto really saved me. He's fine as well. Just an injury on his left hand. And Arioka-san is here, too. It seems he save a girl from falling. He's fine, too. Both of them are very energetic. We've also received calls from our families. No one seems to be hurt." Mirai explained.
"Thank God."
"How about you there?" Mirai asked.
"Everyone's safe here. Some minor injuries but nothing to worry about. I've also got a call from mom. They're safe. Yabu-kun's making other calls. But Chii... he can't reach his family. He'd been trying for a while now."
"Oh..." Mirai said. For once, she was lost for words.
"Hey, Mirai?"
"Yeah?"
"Is Umika with you?" Yamada asked.
"Yes, I'll give her the phone." Mirai said, understanding at once.
"Mirai!" Yamada called before Mirai could pass the phone.
"Hm?"
"I love you." Yamada said. He just have to say it right now.
There was a pause and then, "I love you, too, Ryosuke. Now give the phone to Chii and I'll give mine to Umika."
"Ah." Yamada said.
"I'll see you, soon." Mirai said.
"Later, then."
Yamada approached Chii and gave him the phone.
Chii was surprised but took it anyway.
"Ka-chan?"
For once, Chinen seemed to loosen up.
But Yamada was surprised to see tears falling from his eyes...
"Ka-chan... I don't know what happened to mom and dad and neechan..."

Takaki was inside his car when it happened. All he could was grabbed onto his wheel, It didn't help much but that was the only thing he could do just then.
Luckily, it was red light when it happened.

Yabu felt so old. This was the first time he had felt like this.
He was a bit calm now compared to earlier.
Yabu's family was safe. The members are safe as well.
Both Keito and Takaki had found ways to contact the agency.
He was also able to call Hikaru. It seems he was safe as well as his family thought they now didn't have a home.
They had also contacted Chinen's family and they seemed to be in good health as well. He heard their house was damage but that was the least of their worries right now.
Jin was safe, too. And his other senpais and kouhais as well.
He was just waiting for those two.
Kei and Ryuu. He still hasn't heard any news from them.
It was worrying. Kei... he always call Yabu. It felt odd for Yabu not to hear anything from him for hours.
And Ryuu... Yabu had heard from his family but he wasn't with them. He felt sick with worry.
Suddenly, Yabu's phone vibrated. It was a mail from Inoo's mom.
'Kei is safe. He got stuck at his university but Takizawa-san was near and he had come and fetched him.'
Yabu was so relieve he actually cried.
Now only Ryuu.
'Ryuu, where are you?'

They were at practice when it happened.
Nothing extreme happened to them and after just a while they were reassured that their families were safe.
But til now Kanon was still crying.
"I don't what to do... I don't know where he is... What will I do, Saki? And I was so cold to him earlier.... What if something happened to him? I can't reach him. Even Shin or Yabu-kun doesn't know where he is. I don''t know what to do. What should I do, Saki?"
Kanon continued to sobbed at Saki and all Saki could do was pat her on her back.
Ayaka hated seeing Kanon like this. Usually, she was the life of their band.
Their agency had asked them to stay in their HQ for tonight since it wasn't safe to travel just yet. Their manager had told them to rest but Kanon still hadn't even blink a sleep. They couldn't blame her though, it's Ryutaro-kun missing and with all the aftershock...
It was past 12. It was already Kanon's birthday but Yuuka just couldn't greet her.
She was sure she even forgot it was her birthday.
Finally at around 2AM, Kanon had cried herself to sleep.
But it was short-lived as around 4AM another earthquake hit.
It wasn't as powerful as the one before but it brought more fear than ever.
That was when Kanon's phone rang.
She immediately answered it as the rest of the members watched.
Kanon burst out crying. But the three knew it was different this time. It was a cry of relief. Surely it was Ryutaro-kun.

The sun had shone upon Japan. Japan still had not recover. But the light of the sun is encouraging.
Everyone was doing all they can to help each other. Other countries were taking part as well. Many are praying for Japan.
Surely Japan will be able to rise again.

Kusano had marched into his old HQ and went straight to NEWS' waiting room.
"Would all of you stop calling every freaking minute?! I'm alive, okay?!"
The NEWS members all stared at the figure in front of them for a second and then.
"NOTTIIIIII~~~~~"

"I'm coming!" Jin called out. Someone was incessantly ringing his doorbell.
He was dumbfounded to see all his former bandmates outside his home.
"Kame...? Tagu--"
The five of them let themselves in.
"Wait, what's happening?" Jin asked, laughing a bit.
"Ueda's house was damage, so we'll move in here for a bit." Nakamaru said.
"I heard." Jin said. "I'm sorry about that Ueda."
Ueda shook his head, smiling sadly.
"But guys," Jin called out again. "Why are all of you moving here?" he asked laughing.

Yuto grinned as he saw his friends enter his hospital room. He was surrounded by his loved ones. His family, his friends, Suzuka...
Normally, hospitals doesn't allow this many visitors at once, but they are being lenient right now. And Yuto was happy about that.
He could have lost a hand but he didn't care as long as they were there.
"How's the hand?" Yamada asked.
"Healing..."
"Yama-chan, have you met with Mirai? She's very worried. Chii, too. Umika is very worried." Suzuka had asked.
"I'll go after this." Yamada said. And Chinen nodded.
"Baka, go now." Yuto said, shooing them out.
Yamada and Chinen grinned at him and obliged. "Then, we'll return later."
He looked back to his other friends. "How are you guys?"
"Everyone's alright." Yabu answered.
Yuto smiled.
"Wait, where's Ryuu?"

"Tough work, huh?" Sakurai said.
Aiba shrugged. "Tough times." They were helping out with preparing the relief goods.
"But it does give a bittersweet feeling, ne?" Nino said.
"Yeah.." Jun said and the others nodded.
"These kind of calamities help us get back to the ground when we became too proud. It makes us realize we're still human." Leader had said.

Ryuu had went straight to his family as soon as he can.
After Chii howled, the dog ran out their house and Ryuu had ran after him.
They stopped by a huge tree from where Ryutaro had played as a child.
Right after that was the earthquake. It was so powerful, Ryutaro was took by surprise. Hehad grabbed onto the big tree and surprisingly, the tree remained still. Chii as well was gluing his body to the tree.
After a while it stopped. He was safe but he had forgetten to bring his phone with him, rushing after Chii. The was back to his home was blocked by scattered furniture and some lamp post that fell. Anyway Ryuu thought it still wasn't safe because Chii was still whimpering.
He had stayed there with Chii. There were aftershocks but the tree remained unwavering.
It was dark when he had reach his home. His home stood, but inside furniture and glassware were everywhere. He had a hard time looking for his phone. And when he did, he immediately called his mom. His mom was hysterical but he had managed to calm him down. He was told that someone would be coming for him. In the meantime he had called Kanon.
"Hello?" Kanon's voice was hoarse. Ryuu felt very guilty. Not really knowing what to say he blurted.
"Happy Birthday Kanyon!"
Kanon had burst out crying. She was twice as hysterical as his mom. He had talk to her until he was fetched.
His family had spend overnight in the hospital for the check up. After that, he immediately went to H!P's HQ.
Kanon had rushed to him the moment she saw him. She was crying yet again.
"Kanyon, I've made you cry so much already..." Ryuu had tried to soothe.
But Kanon just kept crying and hugging him.
Ryuu hugged him back. He didn't really want to let go of her. He don't even care if they were in their HQ.
And it seems the agency didn't care as well.

Tamamori patted the little boy's back. Kaoru had been stranded in the train and was only retrieved just then. They were staying at the HQ right now.
It must have been a shock for the little Jr.
He was calming down. He was trying hard not to cry. He looked up to Tamamori and then and ask,
"Why should this things happen?"
Tamamori smiled sadly at the little boy.
"It's a reminder to us."
"Reminder?"
Tamamori nodded. "It reminds us whats the most important to us."
