-i'm not really comfortable with writing right now... i don't know why... so seriously, this is a fail.
To say he was surprised was an understatement.
"M-mamayu!" Miki choked.
She smiled at him. "Ryun."
"What are you doing here?" He asked her. They were both in front of Horikoshi. Ryun was about to go home when he saw Mayuko sitting on one of the benches by the playground in front of his school.
"I'm waiting for my cousin." She said simply. "She's in class 1A."
"Oh, I didn't know you had a cousin attending Horikoshi." He said. 'Why didn't you attend Horikoshi as well?' he thought, pouting inwardly but he didn't say this aloud.
She smiled at him. "Is it your dismissal time already?" She asked.
"Un. I'm sure your cousin will be here in a while." He said.
"I think she'll be a bit late. She's part of the school newspaper club. She said they'll be having a quick meeting about your yearbook." Mayuko said.
"Oh. Why don't you go inside first then? Come on, I'll show you." Ryun offered.
Mayuko shook her head. "It's okay. We've agreed to meet here." She said.
Ryun nodded. "I'll accompany you then, til she's here." He said.
Mayuko blinked. "You don't have work today?"
"It's still hours later." Ryun assured.
Mayuko smiled and gestured for him to sit besides her.
Ryun grinned and do so.
"Oh." Mayuko said after a moment. She then took something out from her bag,
"I brought these." She said. She was holding a box of chocolate. "Do you want some?"
"Wah! Chocolate! It looks yummy!" Ryun said helping himself to a piece.
Mayuko smiled at him.
She watched him eat his piece. Ryun felt a bit shy.
"How was it?" She asked as Ryun finished his chocolate.
"Umai! Did you make these?" Ryun asked.
"No. I bought them. How does it taste?" She asked again.
"Oh. You bought them." Ryun said a bit disappointed.
"How does it taste?" She repeated.
"Eh? It's delicious. It taste like... well, chocolate." Ryun answered, a bit confused.
Mayuko pursed her lips. "Can you elaborate?" She asked him.
"Uhmm..." Ryun pondered. "It's very sweet. The taste is unique. Not in a bad way. I really like the taste. Ah... it's really hard to describe it. Why do you ask?"
Mayuko smiled widely at him. "Thanks for answering. I was just curious."
And then she helped herself to some as well.
"It's really unique, ne?" She said.
Ryun only nodded. He was still a bit confused.
Mayuko, noticing, continued saying, "I just wanted to know how chocolate tastes like for you."
"Eh?"
She smiled again. "My friend told me. She said th feeling of love can be compared to chocolate. They say it's different for everyone. I was just curious how it is for boys." She said.
"Ahh..." Ryun said. He wasn't really very surprised with this. Mayuko tend to say stuffs like these. Sometimes he really just can't follow her thoughts.
There was a moment of silene.
And then Ryun looked at Mayuko.
"How about you? How does the chocolate taste for you?" He asked her.
"Neechan!" They heard someone called and Mayuko stood up.
But before she go she said to Ryun.
"Thanks for the company. And about your question," she grinned, almost teasingly, "When it happen to me... I'll let you know. Ja, Ryun!"
Ryun watched her go in a bit of a daze.
And then, getting hold of himself, he blinked.
He blushed.
"Mamayu yabai!"
