I'm right there with you. I NEVER would have thought five years ago that I would be racked with worry about a job my senior year of vet school or how I would pay my loans off. I was told without a doubt that once you got into vet school you'd have a job, everything would be 'easy'. I was told that every graduating senior had multiple job offers four or five years ago.
And now that is just not the case.
As for Christmas, I'm digging through my craft box and just about everyone is getting knitted things, mostly from yarn I already have. At least I have that skill that I can put to good use cheaply. And people really appreciate a good hand-knitted scarf.
Hey, would Brian be interested in doing work on some home improvement projects while he's job-hunting? If so, have him get in touch. I've got a list of ideas I'll never get to on my own.
I actually enjoy carpentry - if the world were a different place, that's what I would likely have been doing the last 15-20 years. Of course, I decided I needed to make more money to put someone through school...
