December 18th:  Wristwarmers Pattern/Tutorial

I try to make some small gift for each of my family members for Christmas (though I don't always manage it), so last week I started a pair on fingerless mitts for my sister, before realizing that the wool might aggravate her hands, as she has a skin condition.  I was really set on the idea though, so I wondered if I could sew her a pair instead.  Went online, googled, and found the pattern and tutorial above!  It's perfect!

And also quick!

I made a red fleece pair this afternoon, which will be warm enough for the car, and I'm working on a second pair of the softest cotton.

As I finished up the red handwarmer, I was congratulating myself on how well it turned out, and what a perfect gift it was for someone who is both always cold and always texting.

I ignored the nagging feeling that I was forgetting something as I cleaned up all the supplies in a fit of tidyness and organization.  It's Christmas.  I'm organized.  Hear me roar.

...wait for it...

About that time I realized that my sister has two hands, and I had very carefully, very considerately...made her one armwarmer.

Don't be me - pay attention to the directions! LOL
