I think I have gotten used to your style of enlarging certain words in your last text-only batch, because I think that this batch is missing something. You seem to be paying more attention to giving the background texture more 'screentime', and the words are less noticeable. It works well in some types of icons, but probably not all that well in these text-only ones.

Just an instinctive feeling, but the icons (in this batch) seem to be less striking, and in #11 and #12 I had to squint to read the words. There are also spelling errors in #03 and #09. The font you used for the Reepicheep icon does not stand out well either.

On a side note: So it was you who did those icons for narnia_icontest! My younger sister was looking over my shoulder when I submitted my votes for that challenge, and remarked to me that that iconmaker (which I now know to be you) was very talented and knew his/her way around textures. Consider it a compliment on her part, because she critisizes every single icon I have ever done. :D

I think this is because I had a really exhausting week -- I moved from one flat to another, had loads of work to do for university courses (the semester ends here at the end of January) and other things to do on top of that, so I couldn't devote enough time for iconmaking, but I think it will be better next week.

And what your sister said was so nice :) When I submitted them (just a couple of minutes before deadline) I thought it was pretty much obvious that it was me who made them -- the use of white, textures... I have problems with my next Narnia batch -- I'm not sure if I should think of something else, or make a second batch in similar style. Or to make some HP icons (I haven't done them in ages) in the same style :/

*sigh* Real life always interferes with iconmaking, which really sucks. Then again, like authors have Writer's Block, we also have our times when we simply have no inspiration or lack of motivation to continue our graphic projects
