And, er, to be fair...there's probably about a million people in Ireland and ten million here in the States and Australia and Canada that are descended from the same guy, surname or no...

That's just because if you move here to the south, most family trees don't branch out very far.

But that is a really interesting tidbit. I wish I could find more information about my family's ancestors. :(
