Oh you've probably been exposed to the subject matter without realizing it. Taming of the Shrew is pretty commonly remade. "Ten things I hate about you" is a remake of it, I've seen countless versions, one as a western, that was entertaining.
If you want to watch a neat remake of it sometime when we're within a hundred miles of eachother, tell me. I've got one on my computer (ooh, or I could even burn it to a disc and send it too you. That would be so sensible. Don't you love how sensible I am?).
