So after five hours a lot of phone calls and frustration, cabbage managed to track down the names of the files of the drivers, and i was eventually able to track them down and install them... And headset works great now

It will be windows setting the default input and output settings for sound. Unless you can handle your speakers doing all the output and the headset handling the input, then yes you need to change the default devices in Control Panel/Sound each time you switch.
