This here? Is the ultimate Idol winning moment. It still makes me tear up like a sap. And if it wasn't for this stupid big-headed boy, I wouldn't have so many of the friends I do now.

I will always be grateful to him for that. Always.

I didn't watch any of the finale but I saw everyone's reactions on Twitter (best part of the show now, anyway). This is the first season I really didn't care if either of them won since, like, 3? But I'm not pooping on anyone's country parade, it's all good :)

After the announcement though I had to queue this up in YT. God, Dave. Such a goober and a rockstar and way to fucking own a song about goddamn magic rainbows while you're swaying and crying and there's fireworks shooting down on you. I love that the rest of them were waiting on the side of the stage and he was all "what are you doing? GET ON THIS STAGE". And ending the whole season with the camera going to Andrew saying "that's my brother!" is my favorite Andrew Cook moment ever.

dreamerren and another friend of ours (who I ended up going to the album release party with in November) came to NYC that weekend and most of what we could talk about was how fucking fantastic it was that he won. Such great memories ♥

I started semi-watching in Season 4...the only season I didn't really have a favorite in the top 2 was Season 8 -- I wanted Allison so bad.... :( My favorite ppl have only won three times out of the 7 I've watched. Kind of a shitty track record. LOL

I actually loved Andrew at that moment. <3 Too bad he's got a douchey sense of humor. XD

Allison ♥ :( I was so happy I got to see her twice last year, she's really awesome in concert. I've only had 3 of my faves become winners: Kelly (natch), Jordin (while although I liked Blake more, I wasn't delusional) and some other dude I can't remember right now. :P Season 8 I didn't much care who won; I would've been happy with either of them.

LOL yes. More of that Andrew, please, and less of...actual Andrew.
