That sounds like a very interesting topic for your disertation. Is there a lot of literature on it?

yeah, there actually is a decent amount, though not as much in sociology (my discipline) as their should be. i'm really into it. :)

Interesting dissertation topic. I bet you know alot about it just from living some of it. I'm always curious to see, statistically speaking, if Gay and Lesbian relationships have more reported stress than heterosexual ones, given the extra challenges and attitudes that homosexual couples face..

yeah, that will be part of it actually! what i want to do is look at all those social ties to see if those who have higher levels experience less stress and thus better mental health outcomes. :)
