Wow, then I'm *really* pleased you're following it. Gabriel is an arrogant, interfering angel (complete with wings) in "Constantine", who gets demoted to mortality. She/he is played by Tilda Swinton.

Excellent! I liked the movie, but I understand it drove the canon-police wild for that particular comic-verse. Being blissfully ignorant of canon, I am untroubled by that. *g*

Just added it to the top of my queue on Netflix. Looks like the comic is something I'd like -- did some digging into past posts on the subject and followed links.
