Apple releases the elusive "iPhone"

They even kept the rumored name, surprising because Linksys/Cisco has some sort of copyright on it (and a product named that to boot).

As is typical with most everything that Apple releases, the phone is dead sexay and is practically screaming to be licked all over. And being the Apple fanboy that I am (as if my nom de plume isn't a dead give away), I admit to popping a chub while ogling this thing of beauty... coveting it more than a Star Wars geek lusting for Leia in the metal slave-girl bikini.

The iPhone even runs a stripped down version of MacOS X!

However:

$499 - 599?!?! With a two year cell phone contract??? GAH! Ouch!
(fiscal responsibility... you are a harsh, harsh mistress)
And...
Cingular only?! (confirmed at the keynote
Sorry, I'm not dumping Sprint after the sweetheart deal I extracted from their retention department.

I'll be sticking with my Treo... thanks anyways though. :(

The AppleTV piqued my interest as well. BUT... I need to do some more looking into it to see if it will play movies, shows and music other than what you've downloaded from Apple's store. If you're locked into their content only, well, I'll pass on that too. I'd rather roll my own DVR-style solution and be able to do whatever the hell I want with it. :)

That said, I've found that browsing YouTube and other video sites with the Wii Web Browser can be quite entertaining. The Opera-based browser handles Flash video very competently.
However, I have yet to search for porn.
