So I'm a couple days late, but I'm finally going to give my thoughts on The Merger.

1. Pam broke my heart. So many times. I think we all know the feeling of expecting something wonderful and then just having it all fall to pieces. The scene in my icon (her talking head where she nervously says it's been a good day) is one of my Top 5 Pam moments, ( Read more... )

Aw, Jenna was so good in this episode. I watched it again yesterday, and my heart was seriously breaking for poor Pam. She was just so excited and got all pretty and . . . aww, Pam.

I'm kinda confused as to what's going on with Jim and Karen, too. Karen still seemed like she was kinda unrequitedly pining a little bit at the beginning of the episode, but then by the end, they were seeing each other? I do not know. I hope they shed more light on that. I'm gonna enjoy their relationship though, I think -- not only will it make for pretty Jam angst (they are so good at angsting), but Jim and Karen are pretty darn cute together. Win-win!

And a very, very empathic word on WHERE IS JAN. Because seriously. Seriously.

. Haha at Andy hitting on Angela. But he seemed to be doing so vindictively, how did he know?

I know! I felt like he knew, too, but wasn't sure how, especially since Pam is like the only one who really knows, right? Especially since it then cut to the, "Yeah I'm trying to get under his skin," talking head right? But I also thought maybe it could just be the whole personality mirroring... he was trying to make Angela like him by choosing a screensaver he knew she'd like. So I'm not sure if he knew Dwight and Angela are a thing, that was kind of confusing.
