Yesterday was the concert in honor of Tose's birthday (even if the birthday is on the 25th). It was a little different than before in a lot of respects. Over here, the average price for a show or concert works out at around 100 euros, and often more. For example, tickets for An Evening with John Cleese are the equivalent of 120 euros! To see the Australian Opera do The Magic Flute, around 100euros, and a play by the Sydney Theatre Company, you're looking at around 70euros or more.
It cost me about 80euros to go and see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra perform at the Jenolan Caves last year.
It's a pity that they didn't make Tose's concert more available and did it in operatic style (I'm assuming that they did versions of his pop songs). Perhaps they'll make it more inclusive next year.
