i got home from a four day trip to cincinnati. it was cold there. way colder than it EVER gets here.

god i love literature. i love to read. i love creating worlds in my imagination as i read. it's really a shame that the english program at our school wants only to mold future high-school english teachers who can barely spit out the textbook's literary intepretations, much LESS formulate their own creative perspectives on whatever poem they're ( Read more... )

you say perfection alot. is it really perfect awareness or perfect non-attachment as you say, we seek? there is no such think as perfect anything except what it is which is to be aware. that is to say, not to be unaware of the reality/perception of life in which we are all objects including the trees you so compare us to. christianity and all forms of ethical religiosity is what has killed God. God is dead. bu thats another conversation.

i'm a little confused by your comment, i must admit. first, because i wasn't trying to make a claim about the world at all. i think it's obvious that imperfection is inherent in the fabric of the human experience. i was instead making a metaphysical claim about the nature of human life, a human's place in the scheme of the universe, and how we can realize this through certain things ( ... )

first and foremost my dear friend, i have not said anythign out of spite or mockery or disrespect. hear you me... i have no reason to. i'm not quite sure what your spiritual beliefs are so i'm not sure how i would dismiss them. When you said christian, the first thing that came to mind was westernized christianity which i know in the past you were going back and forth before. and i'm saying that it is westernized christianity, the concept of religion, etc. that has killed God. God has turned into something ethical and not something absurd. its a little complicated and maybe i shouldnt have just said it so nonchalantly as i did. you did ask "does this mean i'm not christian?" sorry about all the confusion. i'll be sure to clarify my statements in the future :)

oh ok, ok i see where you got the christian reference from. it's not a big deal, i'm just so used to people laughing and saying that i believe flowers have souls, which is absolutely not what i believe, but for the most part, especially in the valley, even suggesting what i suggest is tantamount to idiocy and blasphemy. it's insulting when people ask, 'so you think all dogs go to heaven?' cmon! it's frustrating to have your beliefs constantly disrespected. as for the 'going back and forth with christianity thing' those two years of my life were a sincere effort to accept christianity as truth, being as it was part of my culture and family, and such an enormous part of my then-boyfriend's life. i really wanted to see what everyone else saw. but, obviously, that effort was unsuccessful, and i have come to terms with my return to my general lifelong belief. it's an interesting thing, and an important phase in my life, and we should talk about it sometime 'cos i learned quite a lot from it (if nothing else, that i'm just a pagan deep down ( ... )

Brazilian women are beautiful, but I must say I think they've got some competition from the Russians. And Romanians. GOD I love Romanian women.

after more consideration, i have decided to accept that russian women may be hot. only because they drink vodka for breakfast.

Russian women are hot. And it's not just the vodka. But, alas, these are just our different opinions. :)
