Hee. I'm quite fond of that icon. Rachel is adorable.

And to completely contrast that, I like how Rachel tries to take a more serious approach to their relationship in this fic. But a little hope and sweetness still ends up creeping in for their future. Makes me excited for future installments.

My personal take on it is that Rachel's trying to rationalize her view of the relationship because she's convinced it's going to end when they go off to different colleges. By creating some distance, she's hoping it won't hurt as much when she loses it. But she's also Rachel, and she just can't quite bring herself to completely divorce from the issue (no pun intended!), which means there's a piece of her that wishes it would all just work out like a storybook romance.

*G* Glad you're looking forward to it - I am, too. Ali and I are each taking different "events" in their combined future, so neither of us know exactly what the other will be writing. There are set elements of the chronology and all, but the devil's in the details, eh? Thanks for reading!!

I'm in love with this 'verse already! Can't wait to read more of it from you and Ali both...it'll be a great collab, I'm sure! Well-written crack!fic is among my favorite genres in fan fiction, because it's just so damn much fun...and I think is going to be awesome.

Can't believe they got married on a whim! My first thought is "this just can't turn out well!", but who knows...?
