Nerdanel never mourned in public. She did her mourning for her husband-sons-grandsons in private, alone, away from the shame she felt for their actions among the others of her race. Helen is a bit more at peace - she's come to terms with Curtis' absense, and though she misses him, though this place, and the dreams, none of it makes much sense to her, she's coming to accept that there are things she just can't change.

When she sees Nerdanel, she'll give her a friendly smile - she always thought well of her.

Hope you don't mind the header, I need to somehow set the anOTPs out of the pack in my inbox...

When she sees Helen, Nerdanel pulls herself together, collecting herself and sitting up, and finds her own friendly smile to return. She likes Helen as well, respects her, recognizes in the human woman something of herself. Or perhaps something of her old friend Indis, who stayed by her side even through the worst.

"Good afternoon," she says, politely, releasing her hands from the tea.
