I don't think that I will ever understand why people "go tanning." If people are tan as a result of spending a lot of time outside because they enjoy it or they work outside, whatever. The existence of tanning salons is what I have a problem with. Why on earth would anybody go somewhere for the sole purpose of changing the color of their skin? ( Read more... )

Here's to being pale pasty white. And going to tanning booths has never made sense to me, either. It's like saying, "Please, I'd LIKE to get skin cancer, and I'll pay for the priviledge, too!!" Tanning naturally, while being outside is much better.

Some people just think they look better when they're tan. I don't understand it, but I also like a lot of things other people don't understand.

YES! a white person GLAD and PROUD to be pale.. mucho me gusta.. I personally like being tan because I think I look better, but that's because I feel uber pasty, but I don't go to a tanning salon or anything.. I have my own pigments I was born with, and the pigments I gain from (lit.) parading around all summer... that and just lying around with people in fields talking pretty much covers it.
