Wonderful Interlude

Absolutely loved this interlude. Epitomises why I love Faith/Xander. So lovely and so sad at the same time. Great work.

"I know," he replied with a soft smile. "Guess what?"

She didn't have to ask. She already knew the answer.

He loved her too.

He told her anyway.

Even though I had forgotten it was from this story (I actually thought maybe it was nwhepcat's), this exchange has stuck with me as an extremely powerful moment.
