Once again, this installment was too long for a single entry, but I consider it one part. Really though, the installments themselves are really pretty arbitrary. I'm not really writing this to be read as serialized installments, I'm just kind of letting it flow and stopping at what seems to be natural stopping points whenever I can. Hence the

I liked the Buffy/Xander interaction a lot in this one. It's easier now to see it as a weird but healthy relationship, and I very much like that Buffy wants to give Xander the same access to her that she has to him. I'm not sure it's a good idea, but it's a nice thought.

The Buffybot idea could be extremely hot or extremely creepy. Or both, of course. Definite points for the immediate realization that a Willow-bot would be wrong. The sexiest wrong idea in the history of time, but still wrong. Dammit. If they do go ahead with the Buffybot idea please, please, please don't make it as smart as April was. She was either a person or so close as to make no difference, and the idea of using such a being as a mere sexbot really creeps me out.

If it's basically just a pseudo-smart walking sextoy, though, go nuts! Be sure to film it!

April probably had no *technological* reason to be as smart as she was (nor did Ted, in a more compelling example), and I think on the Hellmouth any Buffybot is probably going to end up a lot smarter than she was intended to be.
