If I am British and I want to remind myself to be composed, to get a handle on my emotions, what would I say?  In the U.S. I might tell myself to, "Get a grip," or "Get a hold of yourself."

SQUEEE!  The stories and art, crafts, etc. have posted in celebration of Severus Snape's 50th birthday.  I'm really looking forward to reading and reviewing!

Finally, very early this morning, I finished my severusbigbang  fic.  I had originally thought it might run 20,000 words but has turned out to be about 45,000.  Considering I hadn't written any fics longer than 1,800 words before, I have been quite surprised.  I am very happy that it is finally off to be beta'd.  sylvanawood  has been very patient.

I've written 2,291 words just today!  That is definitely a record for me!  I know some of you put out thousands of words everyday, but I'm doing well to get 500 words in a day (just to put this in perspective).

I wrote about 2,379 words this week and wrote all seven days.  It's pretty awesome output for me because I write. so. slow...  I'm glad the nice mods at 5_for_fivemade these inspirational "Just Keep Going" stickers.
