I read that it's good for your brain to do things with the opposite hand of what you normally do them with.  So I thought I would try this with my son's Wii.  The Fitness portion of my son's Wii Sports game gauges your fitness by balance, strength and stamina and assigns you an age.  So I used my right hand (which is my dominant hand) and got an ( Read more... )

Well, this isn't the Wii Fitness program. This is just on Wii Sports. I think it will probably work to help tone my arms and shoulders. "Playing" baseball and tennis is helping me twist my torso. Will have to see what long term effects this has.

I can't recall if it's on Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort that there's one game where you "pedal"...that one wore me out! It's a bike race so you have to pace yourself. I suppose the brains behind these games just want to get the target audience, i.e., kids, to just get up and move.

Well, that is one benefit of Wii--that it's designed to have more movement than the average video game system.

I think that must be Wii Sports Resort you're referring to, as Wii Sports doesn't have biking.
