Shocking Lapse in Elementary Logic Discovered!

Oh, now, really, that's too simple. In just a few minutes I'm going to the kitchen and put a skillet on the burner, which will changes its temperature; that change will cause the beef, onions, and peppers to cook. Change in one thing can be an effect of change in another thing and a cause of change in a third thing.

"Temperature change will cause the skillet to grow hot" is tautological. That the burner will heat the skillet and the skillet will cook your beef and onions is not. Change in X can indeed lead to a change in Y. But let's avoid saying that a change in X leads to a change in X.

Mike, you put it well before, though I can't recall the exact wording: 'Tis a marvelous cause that can be credited with any effect.

Every chance I get, I will ask a warmista: when DID we have an optimum climate? (What year or decade, please.)
Can and should we bring the global climate to that point, and then hold it there indefinitely?
Never once have I received a coherent response.
