Here in central Florida, we had a very cold winter with hard freezes. (I suspect a number of plants aren't going to come back this year.) I saw on a weather report that Tampa had the second coldest winter--in recorded history; and locally we got up to 80 degrees on only one day this year--January 24. We had a nice amount of rain this winter too, and the pond and surrounding swamps are way up.
