The books definitely focus on how happy Alanna is that her matchmaking worked out, but we don't see what happened to Thayet to bring her around and I think that's important. I'm glad you liked it.

A scene like this was missing form the book, I just couldn't accpept that Buri would have been perfectly OK with Jon and Thayet being together unless she had this conversation with Thayet.

I love Buri, and she totally would have thought Jon'd drugged Thayet if they hadn't talked. :D Thank you!

yeah, and then she'd have gone and beaten Jon up, and smashed his nose up and got rid of his 'pretty' looks :D
