{someday you will be loved, pg, good omens}

Once again I come bearing a Death Cab for Cutie inspired fic, though this one is for Good Omens rather than the HP-fandom.

The song: Someday You Will Be Loved.Though really, it's more the feel of the song than the actual lyrics themselves... in fact, the lyrics have almost nothing to do with the fic I've written. But if you happen to have the ( Read more... )

I really like this - very sweet and touching fic. Good choice of song for inspiration, btw. One of my favourite DCFC tracks!

Thank you! Haha, the song wasn't so much chosen as just... there, and the fic was born from it. XD

I love it too; unfortunately I listened to it far too many times while writing this (didn't think it was possible, but I guess it was!) and now I'm actually a little sick of it. :x

Thanks again :]

Wow. This was so beautiful. I love the way you described the Babylon scened, and other ancient times. You got Crowley's character down pat; that denial and confusion is sometimes absent in some fics, where he jumps too fast from snarky comments to soft kisses.

I am curious as to how Crowley got sick - was Pestilence messing around with him? - but it reminds me of last year when a close guy friend of mine (personally, I see him as more than a friend but am silent and am still waiting for him to start feeling the same way and ACT ON IT because there is such a thing as being TOO MUCH of a gentleman... ssshh...) fell sick in the library (we're librarians) but refused to go home until our shift was over. While everyone else went off to screen the monthly movie, I decided to stay by his side and take care of him, bringing him warm water from our little cafe and fashioning a compress out of serviettes and ice cubes. Thus, I can identify with Aziraphale.

Anyway, all in all, absolutely wonderful story!!! I loved it!

Hey, Roobi :]

Thanks so much! Those scenes-from-the-past were actually an afterthought, but it seems like people like them :0 I might actually write another historical fic, if I can be bothered to do the research XD

And wow, that's great to hear... Crowley's metamorphosis is tough to get down, and I don't think I've ever written anything Crowley-centric... :0 So thank you!

Hmmm, I don't know, actually. And awww, that's such a sweet story-- I hope things work out for you two :D You sound like such a good friend (IRL, at least... I know you're a good friend online! :] )

THANK YOU! and thank you for commenting-- your words never fail to brighten my (admittedly already very cheery) days. <3

Padma,

Ooh, do write more historical fic! You rock at it! I wrote one, called Cassandra's Prophecy. It's not posted yet although I finished it months ago, because I'm still waiting for eldanis to finish the illustrations. I'm also planning a chaptered one called Temptation Through Time, which has Crowley trying to tempt Aziraphale during various periods in history (and falling for him along the way) until the final post-GO temptation when they finally kiss properly (there might be a drunken kiss somewhere along the way, I think, I haven't actually started writing yet).

I think you've got Crowley's character down pat. I hope he comes around to it too. :D I mean, I think one of the reasons I fell for him might have been that he's really nice and a gentleman, in terms of how he treats girls, but sometimes I think he's too much of a gentleman. I mean, I wouldn't mind a sudden kiss. XD And thanks, you're a great friend too!

Your replies and fics brighten up my days too - the least I can do is return the favour! :)

Weeeell, the first historical!fic I wrote was simply because I was taking a course at the time and in the GO mindset... I don't know if I can be bothered to do the research for another. XD That said, I have started, so...? *crosses fingers*

Oooh, I remember your post about that! Sounds like it's going to be magnificent. I can't wait to read (and see) it! :D

And yay for historical!long!fic! :] I'm very excited. Looking forward to your new stuff! (Not to mention I need to read your two recently posted fics, egads)

Hee, well... perhaps you could give him a nudge or two. Nothing pushy. Just a... tap. XD Sorry, whenever I talk about stuff like this I tend to break into metaphor (just ask my friends :0 ). But anyway... sooner or later he'll have to break down, ahahaha. Just be patient. XD

<33 Sheesh. I can't think of a properly adequate way to reply to that, so I'll, uh, shower you with internet love. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 :D

Gorgeous work. I love how the fortune presents this idea of destiny, but the rest of the fic doesn't feel forced or trite because of it. And Crowley is wonderfully blasé about the whole concept.

Thank you! I was a little worried about the fortune-bit, 'specially because it was a big part of the story, but... I'm glad to hear it worked. :]

:D I figure after 6000 years a demon feels like he's seen it all.

Thanks again!
