The $175 burger

This place called The Wall Street Burger Shoppe has a burger that costs one hundred and seventy-five dollars.

Let me repeat that: a fucking HAMBURGER that costs $175 dollars.

What's really hilarious here is that they just recently RAISED the price from $150 so it could keep its record as the most expensive hamburger in the world.  Here's ( Read more... )

What's funny is it all started out as just a quick "can you believe this shit?" type comment on another post, but then as i re-read the article about all the ingredients of the burger I thought, "Hell, I don't even know what that crap is! I gotta find out..." :)

I saw that article somewhere today. The ingredients were rediculous and it all sounded gross.

Well, admittedly, my experience with "fine" foods is limited, but I tend to find with the exception of beef, ice cream, and perhaps bread, that really expensive food tends to taste REAL crappy.

But again, I'm used to "peasant's" dishes, so what would I know? :)

I just saw a story on one of the learning channels about the world's most expensive sundaes, which include a gold leaf. Granted think the sundae cost way more then the burger..but man did it look devine (the sundae). I would love to taste it though, but would feel guilty paying for it, with people dying from starvation around the world and etc. The hamburger I could pass though easily.. mostly after reading the Foie gras ...that just not right and sounds gross.
