I always listen to my iPod with the volume maybe halfway up. All my friends think it's too quiet. Case in point...

I used to have a Walkman! Cassettes and everything. I was a bit late in getting a CD player, and I definitely jumped on the iPod/mp3 bandwagon a bit late, but now I have two, a Nano and a Video. They're great for keeping you company if you walk around a lot like I do, and yeah they are pretty good for the gym. If you don't have a bunch of money to throw around and you just want music, you should get one of the cheaper mp3 players. I've seen some for like $30, which is a lot better than the hundreds of dollars iPods cost. Gym memberships, though, are extremely expensive. I'm lucky my parents buy me everything, huh? lol XD
