Well, the X-Universe is still going to be there, that one is, thankfully, certain. I just hope, after the battle ends, I'm still gonna like what I see. I choose to remain optimistic.
I know nothing for sure but it's rumored that New X-Men might be coming to an end as a book, but I've also seen somewhere a clear declaration (I think that was Carey, bless him) that the kids will not be forgotten and their story will be carried on in some manner. Hopefully, 'in some manner' means 'in their own new book'. And, seriously, this bunch has their death quota filled up for the next five years. A Big Deathly Crossover or no Big Deathly Crossover, enough is enough.
And Jesus, don't even think about touching X-Factor. That just-- it simply-- we are not even thinking these thoughs!
You kill Iceman, you ****ers, there will be violence. Also, I will mope for seven months.
I had two reactions to this. The first was laughter because it struck me as cute. (I'm sorry. It did. Don't throw anything at me.) The second was "OMG, that better not be even a *remote* possibility." They kill Bobby or Sam and I will be extremely, extremely pissed. You'll probably hear me yelling all the way over in *your* time zone.
I mean, dang it, I just gave up on DC because they took their canon and crapped all over it in an effort to make it more "marketable." I'm not even going to think about Marvel doing the same.
I'm not, I tell you.
*Sticks fingers in ears*
Lalalalalalalalalalalalah...somebody tell me when the dust has settled...lalalalalalalalah...
I'm not going to throw anything, no worries. I wasn't aiming for 'cute', but 'cute' is perfectly ok ;)
As for Bobby and Sam, they are tough little buggers. Extremely hard to kill, if it's even possible to kill them. Sam is supposed to be an External and Bobby can be blown up to itty bitty pieces and that doesn't even slow him down anymore. So I'm thinking happy thoughts. Still, if the unthinkable happens, you won't be the only one yelling. And if we hit the right frequency, I'm confident we could even create a sound shock wave that would swipe every Marvel operative off the face of the earth for their horrid crime. That's how powerful our rage will be.
Well, there is a chance 'Messiah Complex' will turn out to be a very enjoyable reading experience. Not a very big chance, I admit, but still a chance. Happy thoughts, that's the way to go.
That's true. They are kind of tough to kill, aren't they? Provided whoever writes this saga remembers that anyway...
No, no, we must hope. Hope for now, plot revenge later. Hope for now, plot revenge later.
That's what the voices say anyway...
(Can you tell I'm checking my email while sitting in front of a tech writing class, waiting for my students to email me their in-class projects so I can critique them? Lecturing always gets my endorphins up, and when my endorphins are up, I get silly.)
Marvel got their mitts on some very competent writers so there really seems to be a viable option of all this NOT ending in a giant train-wreck. We must hope. Listen to the voices, they speak wisely.
Can you tell I'm checking my email while sitting in front of a tech writing class, waiting for my students to email me their in-class projects so I can critique them? Multi-tasking, bravo. I heartily approve.

Anyway, I'm not paying any attention anyway.
